I'M BACK!!!

Just so you know I haven't forgotten you, my beautiful blog. I have to say, you are one of my favorite things. You're like my little private therapist who I pour all my problems and insignificant chit chat into! Thanks for that. Oh and thank you to anybody who reads it as well. :) I'm still on semi-hiatus, but I just thought I'd pop in and share some photos. Though it is nice to take a break, I feel really weird not having blogged for a whole... oh wow, it's only been a week!

So here are some pictures of various things that have been going on in my life...

SPRING BREAK! Admittedly, it was not very spring-ish.

My brother gave me this note with a bowl of flowers. <3

Lately I've been doing a lot of jewelry making:

It was also my dad's birthday recently! Yay! Another step towards death.

That's all for now! I have to go throw water in my little brother's face. Bye!!

I am going to make this brief.

Lately I have been rather unhappy. Great things have happened, and I have the most friends I've ever had... and yet, I don't feel any better about life. I don't think I'm really depressed. I've just never been one of those kinds of positive people. I'm great at smiling and looking happy and don't get me wrong--I can BE happy--I'm just generally melancholy a large majority of the time. Oh well. Anyways, I'm saying all this because I think I need to take a break from blogging for a few weeks, so I can devote some more time to staring moodily out rainy windows. I'm not saying I won't blog at all in the next month but I'm just going to take the pressure off of it. You see, I usually feel really guilty when I neglect my blogs for too long. My poor sketch blog is probably about a month behind actually and it's killing me. And my poor book blog is on hiatus before it even got to begin! Oh well...

Anywho, with this post, I am officially freeing myself from blogging obligations. Officially. So maybe the guilt will go away... Okay, I'm gonna go enjoy my blogging break now. Please don't forget me! I won't forget you!!

So I'll see you later. Eventually...

I really, really don't like homework. (But I do like dried up leaves boiled in water.)

Which is why I'm writing this super short post. In an effort to avoid it.

...

Argh, now I have to go back to my English essay. At least I have my tea! That's right I'm drinking tea and writing an essay. Like a bad ass. And might I add, not one cup of tea. Two. Simultaneously. One is jasmine and one is rooibos, because I'm very, very bad at choosing between the two. :P
Now if you'll excuse me, I must depart! Though I have to say I've really been itching to make another mix tape.... Maybe I'll take a homework break in an hour and do that! Heheheh, we shall see.

In which Hippie Calypso makes an appearance.

HELLO! It feels good to be blogging again.... I haven't gone on any of my blogs in a while, have I? The truth is, I'm on Spring Break, so I've kind of taken a little time off from it all. And let me tell you, it has been terrible. Not the break from blogging, that was actually kind of nice. No, I'm talking about my actual Spring Break. DISASTER.
I actually wrote an incredibly long post about all of these terrible, terrible things that went wrong in the last few days, but when I read it back to myself it was so negative and grumpy... really, it was just dreadfully unpleasant. All of a sudden Hippie Calypso burst forth and exclaimed, "What's UP with all this negativity maaaan? Why can't we just... just... let GO of the past and live in the PRESENT, ya know?? LOVE--that's what it's all about, man. Love just keeps the whole world turning. PEACE." And then Hippie Calypso started rambling on about recycling old bell bottom jeans and making daisy chains for your hair so I told her to take a hike. BUT, I did not forget her initial message. So, I deleted my first post and all I'm going to say about the aforementioned "disaster" was that it really did suck. Doubly, because we got a french exchange student Wednesday, and the poor guy had to suffer through it as well. And now I'm going to move on and tell you all the good things that have happened lately. And let me tell you, there's actually been a lot of really great stuff!

First off, my wonderful friend Miss Mixie got into her dream college! A year early! You heard me right, SHE GETS TO SKIP SENIOR YEAR. It's the dream! Anyways, the college she got into is an incredible school and I am just so proud of her! And here's the cherry on top... it's in my city! She can do her laundry at my house! I get chills just thinking how awesome it's going to be...

My second piece of great news is about yours truly. Guess what? I GOT A JOB!! It will be my first real, full-time job! I'll be working at a beautiful summer camp in California and I am at once completely terrified and crazy excited. I got the call a couple of days ago and I really am over the moon. There were only about 40 available positions with about 150 applicants... and I hadn't gotten any word in so long, I was sure I hadn't gotten it! But I did! Yay!

So those two little bits of sunshine pretty much make up for my terrible vacation. :)

MORE DINOSAURS!!

I love love love dinosaurs. So so so much. RAAWWWRRR! One of my favorite things to do is scour tumblr for awesome dinosaur related pictures!

Here are some of my favorites of the day:

Probably one of the greatest images in the entire universe.

Poor dears...

I NEED ONE OF THESE SUITS. These girls have no idea how lucky they are.

I HAVE TO HAVE ONE OF THESE TOO!

So cool.

But these are way, way cooler. What can I say, batman riding a dinosaur is a BOSS.

He's got no idea what's coming...

AHAHAHAHAHA :(

It's like Night of the Museum!

SO. CUTE. SOOOOO. CUTE.

I feel ya, bro.

This might also be the coolest thing ever. I realize I can't actually drive it, but I still have to have it.

So there! Hope you enjoyed all of these T-rrrrrific pictures! Heh. Heh. Heh. You see what I did there? I'm so good at bad puns. :)

Pictures of essentially melted snow... yeah.

Just thought I'd share some photos from my snow day even though, obviously, most of the snow had melted away by the time these were taken...

A story that ends with a very disgruntled cat.

I'd like to tell you a sad story. Sit down, mah child.

I made a new friend a couple weeks ago, his name will be.... Tiberius. Hey, it's a blog, I'm allowed to give people funny names! Anywho, I met him through some other friends and we all started hanging out during lunch. Well a few days later, we realized we're in the same math class! So when we realized this, he just started sitting next to me like it was the most ordinary thing in the world. This was a big deal for anti-social me because I previously had no friends in my math class and was just a very lonely kid with nothing to entertain her save binomial probability. But all of a sudden, behold! A nice guy decides to sit next to me! (And to do this he had to leave the more popular kids that he was sitting with.)
So for a while I was very happy. Every math class, we'd walk in together and he would sit by me. :) One time, we both sat down next to each other, but at two different tables that were pushed together, and somebody pulled his table away to the other side of the classroom. When this happened, he was like, "Oh no, we're being pulled apart!" And then he got up and sat on my other side, like it was the only natural solution to our separation. Okay, you probably see what I'm getting at by the level of detail I've gone into.
Basically, I started to like this boy. He shares my opinions on Doctor Who (that David Tenant is the best but Matt Smith isn't given enough credit, that Rose was a terrible companion, that the plot twists in the sixth season were the bomb diggity, etc...), loves Star Trek, is really funny, super smart AND on Speech and Debate AND Captain of the robotics team.... He's sort of my perfect guy. And I really thought he liked me too.
BUT, yesterday..... I was proved wrong because apparently, I'm very bad at picking up signals. Yesterday, he asked another girl to the prom. Obviously, I wasn't expecting him to ask me because we pretty much just met, but I had no idea he was into this other girl. To make things worse, she is a freshmen from my old middle school, so whenever I think about her, I always picture this tiny little sixth grader. He also did it in pretty much the most adorably romantic way possible. He asked her to prom... via robot. Yes. A robot drove up to her with a sign that said "Prom?", complete with a bouquet of roses. Part of me is sad because I really liked him, and the other part is really happy for the two because it was a very cute moment. Ohhh well, I'll just have to move on.
To be honest, I've listened to some sad Taylor Swift songs and now I'm feeling pretty good. It does kind of suck though, that every guy I start to like turns out to already be in a relationship. Never mind, I have my cats. I'll just have to resign myself to a life of feline love.

COME HERE KITTAY, PREPARE TO BE SMOOSHED IN REDIRECTED AFFECTION.

Well now I'm off. Did I mention it snowed last night and today I have no school? Hm, I didn't. You can tell I'm still not totally myself. Maybe I'll just bury myself in blogging today. Tell ya what, I'm gonna go out and take pictures of all the snow. That's what I'm gonna do! This will definitely take my mind off of my nonexistent love life.
