Lazy days call for stolen beauty.

These are just some photos from the internet that I found pretty/cute/beautiful and decided to squirrel away for a rainy day.

Now enjoy the efforts of my lethargy:

In which I do something terribly stupid.

This summer, I got a job working at my favorite camp by Yosemite Park in California. I was so very, very excited and I flew down to California on Friday. Well, 20 minutes away from starting my new job, I did something very unintelligent. I ran down an asphalt road, barefoot, in over 100 degree weather. I ended up with second degree burns on both my feet. What can I say, I did not realize roads could get so HOT.
Really, I now know what it feels like to RUN ON FIRE. And it hurts. Oh, how it hurts.
So anywho, because of my intense stupidity, I am unable to walk and my new skin will probably take about a week to grow in.
I guess the bright side is that I'll get to do a little more blogging before I go back to camp where there's basically no internet. My posts will probably be a little more lazy (stolen tumblr photos, etc...) BUT YOU WILL LIKE THEM ANYWAYS! I COMMAND YOU!
In addition to this blog, I think I'll also be doing some stuff on my old book blog that I haven't touched in months. So that will be fun! Right? We'll see.
To conclude: don't walk barefoot on hot asphalt. Just don't. It's a very bad idea.

PS I would like to thank the amazing people who are taking such great care of me in the wake of my stupidity. I know I'm a pretty big inconvenience and I so appreciate everything they've done for me.

Well, school is almost out...

Two more days to go!

But I'm feeling very, very, very sleepy and on top of that I have a huge Chemistry final to eventually study for... So I'm gonna go nap now. Goodbye.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, whose is the fairest sweater of them all? MINE.

Hello all! How are you feeling today?

I'm feeling sleepy. And since I'm "recovering" from a minor surgical operation I had earlier today, I'm going to let myself give into my lethargy. But before I enter my vegetative state of rest, I wanted to share a beautiful, beautiful sweater I bought yesterday.
Let me first express how much I ADORE this sweater. It. Is. Incredible. It's a vintage beaded, embroidered and sequin covered cardigan and guess how much I got it for?? $17!! Now I know, if you're a real hardcore thrift-shopper you might not think this sounds like such a deal. But let me tell you, the person who first bought this new probably paid several hundred dollars. Yeeah.
It's really just... fantastic. And lucky for you, I did a quick photo shoot! With just myself, too. It was very difficult. I was able to dig out our nice tripod but I couldn't find my automatic lens so I had to do a lot of back and forth to position and focus everything correctly. SO YOU BETTER APPRECIATE THESE PHOTOS. Please? :P

Here ya go:

And as an extra bonus, these are some of my favorite sandals that I happened to be wearing:

So, do you agree? Is that not a beautiful, beautiful sweater? I wore it out today and I actually got SO many compliments. Glad to see the world has great taste. Okay, well I'm going to go lay around and recover from my exhausting photo shoot. ;) Pozegnanie!

Hell yes.

The name's Potter. Harry Potter.

Of art and jello and cake!

Hello my friends! How are you all today? I'm very happy. :) I had a wonderful day yesterday!
My 16th birthday is on the 7th, so we had a casual party. And I had... the most incredible cake. As I've mentioned many times, I have a thing for dinosaurs. So when my parents asked me what kind of cake I wanted, I told them I wanted a dinosaur cake. With real dinosaur figurines. And... they got me one! It. Was. Beautiful. The best cake I've ever had! I don't know what the people at the store must have thought. That I was six, probably.

Okay, I know you're just dying to see it. Well, lucky for you, I took an insane amount of pictures:

RIGHT?? RIGHT???

What else has been going on? Hmmm. Well, I've been inspired by a very lovely blog  called "Sincerely, Kinsey" and as a result I have been making a lot of stitched canvas pieces. Want to see some? No? Too bad. :P

This one is inspired by Jane Eyre....

And this one is inspired by Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes...

Aren't they cute? I have so much fun with them. If you'd like to try your hand at it, I would definitely encourage you to do so. Check out the DIY on "Sincerely, Kinsey" to learn how!

Now there's one last thing I'd like to share with you. I went to a Mexican restaurant yesterday and I got the most incredible jello.

At first, I thought they put a flower inside the jello, but they didn't! The flower is MADE of jello!! It's incredible! But I can't bring myself to eat it, so I'm not sure how it tastes. Ho hum. I think I'm off to eat it now. Goodbye!

Ferb and Humphrey

All my life I've been obsessed with stuffed animals. I just can't help it. Their furry little faces... Their squishy little tummies... It's sick really. I am a stuffed animal HOARDER. And even now, when I find a cute stuffed animal, I have to buy it. Go ahead: laugh at me. No, really, I understand. I laugh at myself sometimes. (My mother thinks I'm insane.)
BUT, if you happen to share my weakness, please enjoy the following post. I would like to introduce you to two of my most recent and beloved fuzzy friends.
You might not know this about me, but for the past few months I have been obsessed with The Black Keys' dinosaur mascot. Welllllll, I FINALLY GOT MY VERY OWN FUNKOSAURUS! And he's absolutely beautiful!
Meanwhile, I also got the cutest little rhinoceros the other day on a lovely trip to the zoo with my beloved Polethene Pam. And he is... so cute. SO cute. I love him. No, you don't get it. I LOVE him. <3

My two new little buddies, the dinosaur and the rhino, are called Ferb and Humphrey, respectively. And you know what? They're really getting along! Yep, they're sort of BFFs now. It's very sweet.

And now I have photographed them! Please enjoy all the sickening cuteness:

Humphrey :)

Ferb the Funkosaurus.
Cousin of Frank. Yeah, that's right. His cousin is in The Black Keys.

Ferb and Humphrey goofing off. Silly fuzz balls. Although I suppose Ferb really has scales, doesn't he? təˈmeɪtoʊ, təˈmɑːtoʊ

That's all, folks!

I just discovered the greatest webpage in the entire universe.

If you love 30 Rock and enjoy quoting obscure conversations from the TV show.... click here and ENJOY. I've just made your life. You are very welcome.

An exploration into the hipstamatic.

I don't know if you've ever tried it, but do you know that artsy camera app they make for the iPhone? The one that's called "Hipstamatic"? It basically makes the camera on your phone act like an old analog camera. You can mix and match different parts and it's really very cute.
As someone who adores film photography, I think the app is a very fun way to take photos when all you've got is your sad little camera phone...

So without further adoooo, here are some pictures I took with the app on a beautiful trip to the beach:

THIS IS MY DINOSAUR, FERB!!! (He'll get his own post later.)

Why build sandcastles when you can build naked mermaids??

My gorgeous bike! :D

Mmmm, sparkly nails.
