In which Hippie Calypso makes an appearance.

HELLO! It feels good to be blogging again.... I haven't gone on any of my blogs in a while, have I? The truth is, I'm on Spring Break, so I've kind of taken a little time off from it all. And let me tell you, it has been terrible. Not the break from blogging, that was actually kind of nice. No, I'm talking about my actual Spring Break. DISASTER.
I actually wrote an incredibly long post about all of these terrible, terrible things that went wrong in the last few days, but when I read it back to myself it was so negative and grumpy... really, it was just dreadfully unpleasant. All of a sudden Hippie Calypso burst forth and exclaimed, "What's UP with all this negativity maaaan? Why can't we just... just... let GO of the past and live in the PRESENT, ya know?? LOVE--that's what it's all about, man. Love just keeps the whole world turning. PEACE." And then Hippie Calypso started rambling on about recycling old bell bottom jeans and making daisy chains for your hair so I told her to take a hike. BUT, I did not forget her initial message. So, I deleted my first post and all I'm going to say about the aforementioned "disaster" was that it really did suck. Doubly, because we got a french exchange student Wednesday, and the poor guy had to suffer through it as well. And now I'm going to move on and tell you all the good things that have happened lately. And let me tell you, there's actually been a lot of really great stuff!

First off, my wonderful friend Miss Mixie got into her dream college! A year early! You heard me right, SHE GETS TO SKIP SENIOR YEAR. It's the dream! Anyways, the college she got into is an incredible school and I am just so proud of her! And here's the cherry on top... it's in my city! She can do her laundry at my house! I get chills just thinking how awesome it's going to be...

My second piece of great news is about yours truly. Guess what? I GOT A JOB!! It will be my first real, full-time job! I'll be working at a beautiful summer camp in California and I am at once completely terrified and crazy excited. I got the call a couple of days ago and I really am over the moon. There were only about 40 available positions with about 150 applicants... and I hadn't gotten any word in so long, I was sure I hadn't gotten it! But I did! Yay!

So those two little bits of sunshine pretty much make up for my terrible vacation. :)

Calypso's Adventures In Wonderland

Oh blogoshpere, I'm such a bad blogger! So much has happened, so much exciting stuff, and I haven't shared anything with you in ages! So here I am, to catch you up. :)

Basically, I went to California (near San Francisco) for my first job interview. I also got to stay with Miss Mixie and her fabulous sister! The weather was just so incredible, I never wanted to leave. The skies were a perfect, breathtaking blue--not a cloud in the sky--and it was sunny and warm and just.... amazing!
It was a very exciting trip, partly because it was the most independent experience I have ever had away from home. I spent a whole day walking around the city and taking the BART completely on my own and it was so fun!! I felt like Alice in Wonderland! <3 I was working on a photography project too, so I brought my camera and spent the whole day photographing people around the city. Then, I did some exploring with Miss Mixie and her sister as well as with another dear friend of mine who we shall call Janet.
Hmmm, now I think I'm going to show you the REST of the details of my trip through my pictures! And by "the REST of the details" I mean all the stuff I feel like talking about, of course.

To begin with, a blurry photo I took on the plane:

I really love flying. So, so much. Especially at night, it's just so beautiful!

First off, here is all the stuff I bought! (Minus the clothes.)

I was pretty good on this trip, I must say. I only bought a few little, inexpensive trinkets--nothing too big. Aren't you proud of me? ;)

You see that sticker with the cheshire cat? Some guy gave me that on the waterfront in San Francisco! Cute, right?

I bought this little trolley charm for my mom at Pier 39! It's from a cute little silver shop we used to love to go to together. Oh, we used to live by San Francisco... Did I forget to tell you that? Heh.

BEAUTIFUL earrings that I bought at the massive four story forever 21 in the city, and crazy sparkly nail polish that I bought at American Apparel.

And here are some great post cards. Star Wars, Jimi Hendrix, Martin Luther King Jr...

Two notebooks I got at Urban Outfitters... Gaahhhh I LOVE Urban Outfitters! And the notebooks there are my favorite! I'm always stocking up on them, I must have at least a dozen by now. :P

An adorable Alice & Wonderland bag that I got for $2 at a great store called "Thrift Town"! Is it not splendiferous??

And next are some pictures of Janet's rats! They are so cute!!!! It makes me miss my old rat... His name was Squeakers! (What can I say, I wasn't a very original pet namer...)

They liked my bag. <3

Look, he has a perfect little Zorro mask! D'AAWWWWWWWW...

And here are some pictures of Miss Mixie and her sister from my trip!

That's Miss Mixie doing her hair! :D

And her sister running against a BART train!

And her sister again, with pretty flying hair!

And her pretty hair again! It's all gold and shiny... :)

And this is a super emo picture I took of Miss Mixie.

And her sister at this really cool feminist '50s store. You know what, we really need to give her a blog name. How about Fate? You don't know her, so you wouldn't get it. Sorry, LEFT OUT! :P

And here are some BEAUTIFUL pictures I took with Miss Mixie on the train:

Probably the most attractive I've ever looked in my ENTIRE life.

And this is probably the most obnoxious I've ever looked in my entire life...

We are just so cool.

And these are pictures I took in San Francisco on my glorious day of independence! Isn't she beautiful? I'm not quite sure if you're supposed to call a city a woman, but she feels like a woman so I've decided she IS a woman. So there.

You see what I mean??? IT WAS PARADISE!!

Even Alcatraz was beautiful...

I'm dying just thinking about all the sun and light and warmth...

Wow, I just realized how long this post is. And how late it is. I need to do my homework!!! Man, I wish I could show you more! Maybe I'll scan some of my film shots later and make a post about them! Okay, it's a date. See you later!

Yes, goats ARE festive!!

OH MY GOODNESS! Today I got the coolest surprise eveeeerrr! It turns out, my friend Miss Mixie sent me a Christmas letter ages and ages ago! I only just found it today in a huge pile of old mail my mom was sorting. It was a very cool surprise...

Here are some photos:

Eez a goat! <3

I erased her name from the card with my mad photo editing skills.. B)

And she also sent me feathers! I'm glad SOMEONE still follows proper feather sending etiquette...

They're pink. :)

And guess who really, really liked them? My endearingly chubby kitty Nightwitch!

So I made the feathers into a cat toy... Maybe they'll help her lose some weight.

...But probably not.

Anywho, to conclude: Thank you so much, Miss Mixie!! I'm sad that I found this letter so late, but I'm also kind of happy because it made me feel like it was still Christmas!  <3

My first post of 2012. Soak it in, man, soak it in.

HAPPY 2012!!!!!! Are you all ready? I think this is going to be a splendid year and I can't wait to drown in fiery flames with you all on December 21st! I mean, that is what's gonna happen, right? Actually, that's just the end of the Mayan calendar... They didn't predict that the world would implode or anything, so don't go chaining your family together in the basement JUST yet. Idiots. Hm, italics me is kind of a bitch. Well we'll show her next December when our souls ascend to heaven while she's stuck on Earth as the world collapses! AHAHAHAhahahahahaha!!! ...That's the rapture. Oh right. What's supposed to happen this time? Nothing. So again, I repeat: idiot.

Woah. It just struck me that this will be my first post of 2012. And so far I've spent it arguing with my italic self. Maybe I should be more mature. You know, reflect on how I've grown this past year, what I've accomplished, etc. I'll tell ya what, we'll give it a try.

How I've grown/changed:

  • I'm taller.
  • My hairs gotten longer.
  • I have two more ear piercings. Woooo. That makes three on one side and two on the other.
  • You know these are really supposed to be more emotional and spiritual.
  • Italics me, get out of my bullet points.
  • Okay.
  • Thank you.
  • My eyes have deteriorated even more and I'm pretty sure I'm going blind.
  • I've gotten even better at procrastinating till the last minute and completing the job none the less! Yesssss.

Accomplishments:
  • I built a pair of Lego shoes.
  • I finally read the first Hunger Games book. Yesterday, actually. Although I probably finished the last 50 pages in 2012, so does it still count? Yes. Yes it does.
  • I can finally apply eyeliner without getting it ALL OVER MY EYELIDS. However a makeup guru, this does not make me. Yoda style.
  • I made new friends!
  • I participated in my first high school play!! I really hope I do some more this year...
  • I took the PSATs. Scored in the 99th and 98th percentiles! WHAT WHAT! Imma tell you a secret... My mom actually made me take the SATs in 8th grade and I don't want to brag but I honestly did really well. So the PSATs were UBER stressful because I was super worried I'd get a worse score than on my SATs. Buuut I didn't! *fist pump*
  • I started a blog! Really, this is one of my favorite accomplishments and I am so grateful to anyone who actually reads all my rambling discourses. You guys make my days and my nights and I love you all! But especially you. Yeah, you. YOU. ARE. My very favorite. ;P
  • Started a short sci-fi novella thingy that I'm actually really into. That doesn't sound like a big accomplishment, but for me, it is. I love love love writing, but I'm horrible at thinking up stories that I'm still interested in telling, 4 pages in. Maybe I actually have a chance at finishing this one! Who knows...
  • And finally... I maintained a journal and filled it alll up. And then started another. (A sort of "second volume".) This may sound lame, but for me it is also a huge accomplishment. I've started  many a journal, but I've never filled a whole notebook with regular entries before. This is a wonderful first!
My Goals for this glorious new year:

  • Work out regularly on my NEW TREADMILL! There's something just sooo great about running in place. I LOVE it.
  • Start diving in to my community service so I don't end up doing it all my junior and senior years.
  • Build up my college resume... Ick.
  • Start wearing my cowboy boots more often. It's time the cowboy boots thrived again, my friends.
  • Keep my room cleaner.
  • Force my dad to build me more bookshelves so I can be done with this ridiculous book stacking that's been going on.
  • Develop better studying and homework doing habits.
  • Get straight As! But that's probably not gonna happen... Chemistry is hard. :'(
  • Complete my "sketch a day" project, which you can check out at... http://365daysofsketching.blogspot.com/ !!

Well there ya go. A semi-traditional New Year's post.
I hope you all have a wonderful 2012! You guys really are the best and without you, I would have nothing to keep me writing this blog and would probably then go insane. So thanks mom. And Miss Mixie. And Polethene Pam! You guys are the bomb-diggity. C:

Cats and friends and seatbelts. We're going to cover a lot today.

Hello friends! Or acquaintances... (I guess I don't know you all too well.) Oh what the hell, let's just be amigos! We'll see where this crazy friend-SHIP takes us! Gosh, I hope we don't hit an ICEBERG. AHAHAHAhahahahahaaaa I am just sooo funny...

Moving. On.

I am very happy and very sad. Want to know why? First off, I'm very happy because I have a bunch of friends all visiting right now from various places out of town, which makes me all smiley. (Polethene Pam, Miss Mixie, the glorious sister of Miss Mixie) :) I am sad, because one of these aforementioned friends (Miss Mixie) is terribly ill with suspected food poisoning... :( I feel so sad that she's all sick and icky feeling while she's supposed to be enjoying her vacation!! You know in the Peter Pan movie when tinker bell gets poisoned and everybody claps really hard at the same time and thus render her healthy and glowing again (still don't understand the science behind that btdubs)? Well I figure our dear Miss Mixie is quite an awful lot like a sparkly, flying fairy thingy herself, so perhaps if we all clap really hard, she might just get better? So clap, my minions, CLAP YOUR HANDS!! This is totally going to work.

Now that I've shared with you my ingenious plan to restore Miss Mixie to perfect health, I'm going to share some stuff with you! First off, an adorable cat picture. Because I am a very original blogger who posts very original material. I mean, please, name one other blogger who posts cute cat photos! I dare you. Bet you $5 you won't find one. Oh. Oh, really? You found one? Well I guess I owe you $5...... What a surprise.

Anyways, here's the photo:

Heehee. I took this pic of a cut out magazine picture that was hanging on the wall in this really cool barbershop. Miss Mixie's sister got her hair dyed today (AHH!!! :D) and I was chillin' out with her while she got it done. We got it done at the "original rock & roll barbershop" which is this super cool place only a few blocks from my house. It has magazine clippings and stickers and stuff literally plastering the walls and it's super cool. So yeah. That's the explanation behind my discovery of this adorableness.

The next thing I wanted to share with you is the purchase I made earlier this same day. It. Is. Spectacular. I probably haven't mentioned this before, but lately I have sorely needed a fun, casual belt. I probably have mentioned my love of dinosaurs. Yes, now that I think of it, yes I have. Well today... I found the greatest belt in the whole wide world. Or at least a pretty cool one.
Feast your eyes upon it's glory:

Since you can sort of see it, do you like my shirt? :) My brother gave it to me for Christmas. <3

IT'S A SEAT BELT. COVERED IN DINOSAURS. IN PRIMARY COLORS! <3 I just love it so much! And it's super adjustable and comfy and awesome. While it holds up my pants quite well, it really knocks of my socks if you know what I mean...

Now it's super late, so I best be going. I've got SO MUCH to do and break is fast coming to a close, so it's best that I get my sleep. Don't forget to clap for my poor, sick Mixie! Pozegnanie!

Hello my lovely little... umm... I don't know.. lemurs? Yeah, we'll go with that. Anyways. Hello! I thought that today I would show you some super cool earbuds that I stole from various parts of the internet. This idea was inspired by my wonderful friend Miss Mixie, who sent me a picture of some earbuds that reminded her of my blog.

Here they are! Can you see the connection? ;)

And here are the ones I found:

Rubber duckies! They just make me so happy... :D

"So doctor.... How's it sound?"
"..."
"Doctor?"
"A little like... Pink Floyd."

I actually use to have these! .........but then I lost them. Oops.

Like zee piggy earbuds!!! But weinerlicious. <3

MMmmmmmmmm cupcakes.

Gosh I'm excited. My winter break has officially started, and now I have 15 glorious days to bask in the sweet light of Doctor Who and write and read and shop aaaannnnddd BLOGGG!! So prepare for a tidal wave of blog posts! Oooh and one of the next few posts will be my giveaway which will be very exciting so  stay tuned!

A Post of Unfathomable Triteness

So I saw a blog where someone did a post where they basically did one of these quiz thingies and I kind of liked the idea. It's a nice way to get to know some totally random stuff about a person, so I thought I'd do one! My mother said that this idea was "trite". I didn't know what this actually meant and so she explained that it means "been there, done that". I was still rather skeptical of the validity of this word, so I looked it up and the exact definition is "boring from much use, not fresh or original".

Ouch, maman.

Ho hum, you'll just have to deal with the triteness of this post. At least you got a new word out of it, if nothing else. What did you say? You already knew that word? Well... that was rather sassy of you.

General Info:

1. Full name - Lady Calypso as far as you're concerned...
2. Nickname - Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
3. Zodiac sign - Gemini. 'Cause I was born in June. <3
(Skipping 4-7)
8. Tall or short - Pretty tall. I'm about 5'9
9. Sweats or jeans - Jeans when I'm out, sweats when I'm chillin' by myself. ;)
10. Orange or apple - APPLE! Yuummmm But oranges are cool too. I don't mean to discriminate against either of them or their fruity goodness.
11. Do you have a crush on someone - Huh. Wellll, I have a celebrity crush. But I don't have a die hard crush on anyone at the moment. I've decided my romantic life can wait till college.
12. Eat or drink - WHAT DOES THIS QUESTION EVEN MEAN?? Of course, I both eat AND drink! I can't choose one! I'd die!
13. Piercings - 3 piercings on my left ear, 2 on my right. I'm not really interested in piercings anywhere else though...
14. Pepsi or coke - Psssh Coke. They've got polar bears, robots and Santa Claus! But Pepsi does have Michael Jackson...

Of course, during the filming of this commercial, they did set his hair on fire and begin his life-time addiction to pain killers... I think I'll stick with Coke.

Have you ever... (Part I)

16. Been in an airplane? Indeed I have, good sir.
17. Been in a relationship? Sure, I have plenty of friends with whom I have good relations. That is what you were talking about, RIGHT?
18. Been in a car accident? What kind of a question is that?? No... I'll let you know if that changes.... Creep.
19. Been in a fist fight? Say NO to physical violence!!! Words hurt just as bad and they don't have nearly as negative an effect on your health.

Firsts:

20. First piercing - Well I got my ears pierced for the first time when I was... 13? But I got it done at Claire's because I was stupid and I ended up having to let them close. I got them re-pierced at a proper piercing parlor about a year later. The moral of this story is: don't get your ears pierced at Claire's! It's a very bad idea. And don't be a wuss, have it done with a proper needle, not one of those weird stapler gun thingies.
21. First best friend - Huh. I think my first best friend was probably my dear friend Eloise/Polethene Pam. We've known each other since we were, I don't know, two? That sounds right.
22. First award - Uhhhh... Some lame soccer trophy that everyone on my team got at the end of the season probably.
23. First crush - Hehehe.... My first crush was on this skinny little nerd in my first grade class. He was actually, upon reflection, super dorky but I was crazy about him anyways. :)
24. First word - I don't remember. DO YOU?

Lasts:

25. Last person you talked to in person - My lovely maman.
26. Last person you texted - My friend, Jenny.
27. Last person you watched a movie with - My brother. Phineas and Ferb movie. <3 (A life-changing experience, by the way.)
28. Last food you ate - Chicken pot pie last night. Thanks maman!
29. Last movie you watched in theaters - "In Time", that new movie with Justin Timberlake and 13 from "House". It was actually pretty good. I think the acting could've been better but the story was really cool.
30. Last song you listened to - "Broken Horse" by Freelance Whales
31. Last thing you bought - Oooh a super secret Christmas present for my little bro. And some other stuff from Hot Topic. I think I'll actually make a post about that shopping spree....
32. Last person you hugged - My maman. Because I love her very much. <3

Favorite:

33. Food- I like my grandmama's super delicious, other worldly fudge. It. Is. Incredible. And I've actually never found a single soul who can make it as delicious as she can. I also like macaroni. and asparagus wrapped in bacon. Mmmmm..
34. Drink- Mango juice from Trader Joe's. Yummmy. And H20. Because I need that to survive....
35. Flower- I'm not actually a huge fan of flowers. They're nice and all but I don't know if I have a favorite.. Wait.. DAFFODILS. Because those are the ones that Spot picks with those delightful crunching noises!! That was one of my fav things ever when I was little.... Ahhh the memories...

36. Animal - I like tigers! And narwhals, because they are the unicorns of the sea. And platypus. Did you know there is no agreed upon plural for platypus? Some say "platypuses". Some just say "platypus". A few are still trying to float "platypi". Poor Perry....
37. Color- Rainbow (just like Tracy Jordan). I wear mostly black though and it drives some of my friends crazy.
38. Place- Hmmm.... I love California and NOT because of Katy Perry... I have to say San Francisco is one of my favorite places but there are others.
39. Movie- I love "When Harry Met Sally". I also LOVE "Inception" and "The Social Network" and "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home". Oooh and "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan". I cried so hard when Spock died. I think I actually threw something at the TV. But my favorite movie, of all time, has to be "Mulan". Go ahead and judge me, I don't care. I LOVE Disney movies.
40. Subject - Hmmmm. Probably Art or English. Oooh or Biology.

Have you ever... (Part II)

41. Fallen in love with someone? Nope. I'm looking forward to it. I need something to inspire mah music!
42. Celebrated Halloween? Again, what kind of a question is this? WHO HASN'T? Sad and deprived little orphan children, that's who.
43. Gone over the minutes/texts on your phone? Nope. I actually tend to ignore my phone.... It really pisses certain people off... Sorry Jenny.
44. Wanted to smack someone upside the head? So. Many. Times.
45. Eaten a whole pizza? .........................................................................................................yes.
46. Done something you regret? Yes. I saw "The Green Hornet". That's 119 minutes of my life I will never get back.
47. Broken a promise? Sadly... yes. To myself and others. :( But I strive to be a trustworthy person, so not too often.
49. Pretended to be happy? Many, many times. I'm an adolescent mes amies!

The Future... DUH DUH DUH:

50. Want kids? Hm. Maaaaayybbee. If I find the right person.
51. Want to get married? Hm. Maaaayybbee. If I find the right person.
52. Career? I don't know, there is actually a lot of stuff I'd like to do. I think it would be cool to be a surgeon. Or really anything in the medical industry. Or a writer. I'd like that too.But my dream... don't laugh... is to be an actress and a musician. Yeah, talk to me when you're done snickering.

Romance ;)

53. Lips or eyes - EYES. They are the "windows to the soul", aren't they? What are lips? The door to your esophagus?
54. Shorter or taller - I'm good where I am.
55. Romantic or spontaneous- Romantically spontaneous. :)
56. Hook up or relationship- Relationship.
57. Looks or personality- A delightful mixture of both, ideally! But if I had to choose between a super attractive guy and a smart, funny guy, I'd choose the smart, funny one every time.

Have you ever.... (Part III)

58. Lost your glasses/contacts? Nope. I have thrown my glasses off my head by accident several times while dancing singing "I whip my hair back and forth."
59. Ever snuck out? Like from my house? PEOPLE DO THAT!!?? GASP.
60. Held a gun/knife for self defense? I've held a pocket knife in a dark street a couple times. You can't be too careful...
61. Broke someones heart? Not knowingly!
62. Been in love? I feel like you've already asked this question.... The answer is still the same.
63. Been arrested? NO..... Why would you ask a question like that.... There on to us, Calypso! Zip it, italics me.

Do you believe in...

64. Yourself? Umm I don't know. I have cripplingly low self-esteem.
65. Miracles? Meh. I'll believe 'em when I see 'em.
66. Love at first sight? I'd like to, but no. "Romeo and Juliet" was just ridiculous.
67. Santa? PSHH DUH! What else explains the flying reindeer on my roof??
68. Forever & Always? I don't... understand.... whhaaaaat?
69. Is there one person you want to be with right now? Yes. Unfortunately they are famous and I do not actually know them....
70. Do you know who your real friends are? I do hope so! The ones that have blogs are the aforementioned Eloise/Polethene Pam and my dear Miss Mixie.

Okay, well that's all. Now you know a little more about the scrambled eggs I call my brains. I hope it wasn't too trite for you!

How to grow your very own sparkly delicious mustache!

So I was fooling around on google images after getting back from a long day at school (On a Saturday!! I was working on tech stuff for the play.) and I decided to look for some fabulous mustache pictures to send to my dear Miss Mixie. Then I got to thinking about her other blog, which is about sparkly stuff among other things, and I had an epiphany. SPARKLY MUSTACHES! My joy was quickly crushed however, when I realized that the internet has practically NO pictures of sparkly mustaches! I was rather disgruntled, as you can probably imagine... So then I thought, "Okay.. That's too bad... Hmmm. What about a sprinkle mustache!!!?" Guess what I discovered? No sprinkle mustaches either... Well, except on some pretty great cookies:

But I was hoping to find some humans with sprinkle mustaches! Not delicious baked goods! After sitting for a while, hating the internet for not supplying me with awesome pictures of sparkly/sprinkly mustaches, I decided to do something about it. That's why I'm going to teach you how to magically grow your own superb 'stache! And I will supply you with pretty pictures. :D Fun, right?

Step 1: Pull out a biiiiggg plate and a very clean paintbrush (Although you can also use a chopstick or a straw... there are many possible substitutes.)Then, select your sprinkles (sparkly sprinkles, like those on the cookies, are perfect!). To keep your sprinkles firmly placed on your lovely face, find some maple syrup or, alternatively, some honey! (If I were you, I'd pick the one you thought was tastier, hint hint.) You might also want to grab some paper towels or kitchen cloth (fancy name for a cooking rag...), to keep from getting a lot of syrup or sprinkles on your table.

Step 2: Pour a small amount of maple syrup (or honey ) into a bowl and use the chopstick/paintbrush to draw a ghostly see-through mustache on your face. Not an artist? It don't matter! Mustaches are simple and you can use a picture of a mustache to help you visualize your fantastic goal.

For example:

Step 3: Fill the plate mentioned earlier with your selected sprinkles and spread them around the plate. Don't be afraid to pour a lot in there, it'll work better and you can easily put whatever you don't use back!

Here's a picture of some of the sprinkles I used (I did it twice with two different kinds.)

Step 4: This is the super fun part. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and SMASH your face in the sprinkles. Well.. don't smash it. I don't want you to break your nose. Just rub it in there reallll good. You want all of your syrup mustache to be covered in sparkly goodness!

"Mmmmm... sprinkles..."

"Wait, I have to do WHAT with them??"

Step 5: When you come up for air, you'll probably have sprinkles all over your face... A dream come true! But alas, if you want your mustache to draw attention, you'll need to shake off all that excess sprinklage. ................I suggest eating said excess sprinklage. ;)

"EXCESS SPRINKLAGE?? MADNESS!!!! Wait... I get to eat it?"

Step 6: Once all those extra sprinkles are gone, you're good to go! Check it out. You just grew a mustache. (Meaning you're now 400% more awesome. And attractive.) Look in the mirror, I wouldn't be surprised if it told ya you were the fairest in the land.

Sprinkle Mustache: Up close and personal.

"Mustaches are great for pondering the mysteries of the Universe."

"Mustache kissies!!"

"This is the sweet life... I got Zack and Cody BEAT!"

"This mustache makes me feel like a Candyland cowboy."

Step 7: After you've flaunted your magical mustachedness 'round the house, or the town, or wherever, you're going to have to do something very psychologically painful. You're gonna have to take it off. But don't despair!! You can always make another one! And clean-up happens to be super delicious...

"YOU MEAN I GET TO EAT IT!?!?"

"Nom nom nom nom nom."

"All gone. Well almost."

Wow... I did have a lot of fun with that. Who knew it was so easy (and delicious) to grow a mustache??? But I must tell you... it simply wasn't enough! After cleaning up my edible mustaches, I decided to paint a sparkly mustache on with sparkle paint. (Sadly, the sparkles from the paint, as well as the sprinkles, don't really show on my face on my phone's camera...)

"Look! This sparkly silver mustache makes me look like a princess. <3)

And then... I made a pipe cleaner mustache.... (I went a little crazy.)

"What do you mean this mustache isn't edible??"

So yeah. I hope you try some of these mustache projects! They are super fun and great to do with a buddy! If you do, send me pictures! I'd love to see your mustache mania!
